The 2nd Annual Literacy Connexus Waco Community Book Drive is off and running! Books can be donated online and at locations around Waco, but there is a special in-person donation event hosted by KCEN at Fabled on Friday! Bring your fiction, non-fiction, readers, graphic novels, and more to Fabled and get Waco reading!
Save the date and start humming “Take Me Out to the Bookshop” and celebrate our favorite pastime! (Reading, of course!) Aesop, Fabled’s beloved owl, is throwing on his jersey and grabbing a baseball cap for a weekend of games, giveaways, events, and more!
In celebration of Día de los Niños (Children’s Day), the Dr Pepper Museum invites families to join a day of learning, fun, and giving back! Children aged 12 and under will receive free admission to the Museum with the donation of a new or gently used book. All books will be donated back to our community, helping provide access to reading materials for other children.
Día de los Niños will include:
Pop-Up Saturday, an educational monthly program with a craft

Fabled is thrilled to welcome Tyler Davis to discuss his new book, God of the Whirlwind. This book is based on a series of oral history interviews conducted and edited by Davis, and he will be joined by three contributors— Nona Kirkpatrick, Anthony Fulbright, and Ramad Carter-London— for a conversation, reading, and signing on Thursday, April 24th at 7PM!
