"I stay flossin' in that candy paint / Blowin' Dank / sippin' Drank on 84 swangers" - Mike Jones

135 Prime

  • First-class dining in a comfortable environment? We'll take that all day every day. Akaushi beef, premium Wagyu beef. Fresh-caught deep-water seafood. I teach high school, so I've never been able to eat there, but it sounds awesome. Wine Spectator also gave 135 Prime the Award of Excellence in 2016 and 2017.

Magnolia Table

  • It used to be called The Elite, Will Johnson, of Centro-Matic fame (don't know music icons Centro-Matic? Shame on you) left me a copy of his new album behind a flower pot on a Saturday morning at The Elite. Then Chip & JoJo, the Patron Saints of Waco, the reason any of us exist, turned it into Magnolia Table, open for breakfast and lunch. They don't take reservations, so you'll just have to get in line like there's Furbies at the end, or something. Try the Avocado Toast if you want to upset The Establishment. While I like to talk crap for no good reason to the detriment of myself and my family, Jo's Buttermilk Biscuits *are* fantastic, and most of their produce and eggs are locally-grown.
